Missions
First Baptist Church is involved in missions on the local, regional, national, and international levels.
- Association (Mid-South Baptist Association) - "Church Without Doors" that feeds and presents the gospel to homeless people in downtown Memphis. See slide show below.
- National (National American Mission Board) - Mission trips that provide VBS and church camps for churches lacking manpower and resources.
- International (International Mission Board) - Mission trips to foreign countries that involve worship teams, medical relief, construction, and evangelism.

Local and State Missions involve:
- Tennessee Baptist Children's Home (Double B Boys Ranch), Millington, TN - Ministry for boys who have been removed from their natural homes for a variety of reasons. Designed to build strong Christian character in youth from troubled family backgrounds. Each boy is directed toward a new Christ-filled life through prayer and Bible study.
- Union University - Jackson, TN - Financial aid for students who are members of FBC to attend this Baptist institution offering Christian education on the university level.
- Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary - Memphis, TN - Degreed and non-degreed training for ministerial students.
- Heart-to-Heart Pregnancy Counseling Services - Atoka, TN - Christian based pregnancy counseling center that also provides Bible study classes and basic child-care needs for new and expectant mothers.
- Gideon's International - Bible distribution program for winning men, women, boys, and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Mission Conference Speakers - Guest speakers may include former and/or present-time missionaries who share their experiences with the church for missions awareness.
